Healthy Vegan Chocolate Energy Bar Recipe, Clean fuel for Riding

Palm kernel oil- This saturated fat ishard on the arteries
Natural flavor- This is too generic a term and leaves it open for companies to slide ingredients such as MSG in there
Manganese Sulfate – Can leave you feeling flu-like symptoms and have a heavy impact on the liver
Partially hydrogenated oils- These arethose nasty trans-fats that deteriorate the heart and arteries
Soy Isolate- this is anything but natural. This protien under goes a high amount of processing and chemicals
Sugar- refined white sugar is highly processed with harsh chemicals that will lead you to an energy crash
Try making you're own using a few simple ingredients. Here is one of my favorite energy giving bars that will have your body happily energized. This recipe is in Raw form which means your body gets more nutrients from the food and allthe enzymes are intact for proper digestion. They are also gluten-free reducing inflammation and allowing better flow and movement for the joints. Always choose Organic ingredients for the best health options. Chocolate Almond energy bars
1 ½ Cups raw almonds
12 large medjool dates pitted
¼ Cup raw cocoa powder
1+ Tbl Maca powder
Place all ingredients into a food processor and mix well until ingredients look like crumbled nuts and feels like playdough when you mush is together. Form into bar shapes by working the "dough" mixture in your hands. Then wrap in natural waxpaper. This provides a way to keep them fresh, keep them from sticking to other bars and makes for a handy wrapper for easy eating.
These bars will lasts 5+days at room temperature , 8+ days in the refrigerator and 2+months in the freezer.
These are the perfect treat to pop in a backpack and take on a camping trip or for mom's to pack in the purse to grab for the kiddos for a non-refrigerated snack.
Healthy Apricot Protein Bar Recipe

Try making your own with this simple recipe below. The key is to use quality organic ingredients that are raw so all the enzymes and proteins are kept in tact and your body gets more out of the food.

Apricot Cashew Protein bars
1 ½ Cups raw cashews
8 lg Medjool dates pitted
15 dried apricot pieces
2 tbl raw hemp seed
Place nuts, pitted dates cut up, apricot pieces cut up and hemp seed in food processor and mix until it looks like crumbled cookies and can“mush” together. You're looking for an almost-playdough like consistency. Shape into bars by mashing dough into your hands and working it to stick together and shape. Wrap in a natural wax paper to prevent sticking to other bars, preserving and for easy eating.
